What is Virtualization?

Virtualization is software technology which uses a physical resource such as a server and divides it up into virtual resources called virtual machines (VM's). Virtualization allows users to consolidate physical resources, simplify deployment and administration, and reduce power and cooling requirements.

The bottom line is that a well planned virtual environment can allow a single hardware server to host multiple virtual servers.

Benefits of Virtualization

  • Run multiple Server operating systems on a single server hardware host
  • Reduce capital costs by increasing energy efficiency and requiring less hardware and increasing your server to admin ratio
  • Ensure your enterprise applications perform with the highest availability and performance
  • Build up business continuity through improved disaster recovery solutions and deliver high availability throughout the datacenter
  • Improve server management & control with faster deployment of server applications and fewer support calls due to server downtime
  • Reduce hardware overhead costs by consolidating applications and services.

Penbroke Systems can help Virtualize your existing server farm and reduce cooling and power costs while increasing the usefulness of your expensive server hardware and easing administration.
